At the U.S. Soy℠-sponsored symposium during the 2026 American Society of Animal Sciences Midwest meeting, Dr. R. Dean Boyd, owner of Animal Nutrition Research, LLC, presented four pillars of soybean meal’s unique value to swine nutrition and health.

“One thing that was vital to teasing out some unique aspects is that much of this work was done in commercial environments. So you have stresses that wouldn’t be available in the academic environment,” explains Dr. Boyd.

“As we looked at the [Hanor Co.] information, there were four distinct categories of advances that we brought forward.”
