At the U.S. Soy℠-sponsored symposium during the 2026 American Society of Animal Sciences Midwest meeting, Dr. Nathan Augspurger, Vice President of Animal Nutrition and Health at the United Soybean Board, presented about the future opportunities for soybean meal research in swine production.

“My target here is to offer some additional thoughts and opportunities around future research areas,” begins Dr. Nathan Augspurger. Areas for potential future research mentioned in the presentation include breeding herd productivity, immunocompetence and vaccine responsiveness, and pork quality.
