Go Beyond Feed Formulation – Introducing Feed4Profit
New online financial modeling tool
Feed4Profit is a publicly available online tool designed to help producers and nutritionists analyze ingredient costs and make informed feeding decisions to help maximize profit per pig. By integrating diet formulation, predicted growth performance and future pricing for ingredients and pigs, users can design and compare feeding programs with different ingredients, model the performance response, and compare forecasted income and feed costs over a 12-month period.

Once you are in the tool, there is a link to a helpful how-to video tour in the upper right-hand corner. New user features (and training tools) will be shared on this page as they become functional. To get started, try comparing your summer carcass dip mitigation feeding strategies (with and without DDGS and high or low soybean meal levels) to see which program delivers more income per pig.

First-of-its-kind, easy-to-use financial model available for all swine operations

Comprehensive and credible – developed by Iowa State University, in collaboration with U.S. Soy

Integrates multiple user inputs, including diet formulation, predicted growth performance and future pricing for ingredients and pigs
